Circle Media

This site is a Circle Media production. Circle Media specializes in the design and production of on-line interactive media for children and adults, museum exhibition graphic design, and graphic design for print. Some of our recent projects include interactive media for the Canadian Museum of Civilization.

Annie Wood is the founder of the company and its creative lead. She is deeply committed to providing youth with resources to help them gain a better understanding of their innovative and creative potential. The Inventive Kids website is part of the Inventive Women series along with the website http://www.inventivewomen.com and the award winning book, Canadian Women Invent!

The inspirational spark for the series came from a young girl who asked Annie if women invented. The only woman that she could recall was Marie Currie. After making a number of enquiries, it was apparent that a knowledge gap existed in the general public. At a time when invention and innovation are reshaping our world, educational resources about female inventors and innovators were difficult to find. The series is an attempt to fill the gap.

The Inventive Kids website is for both girls and boys. It features the accomplishment of female as well as male inventors. The website is enjoyed by more than 35,000 individual students yearly.
